Google Maps goes underwater!

Google have added a new aspect to Google Maps, with panoramic underwater shots now viewable. Although limited to just a handful of locations at the moment, it sets a new standard in being able to explore the world from the comfort of your computer, for free! The underwater locations currently available include coral reefs in Australia, the Philippines and Hawaii, and there’s little doubt more are on their way.

We can use Google Maps to explore urban as well as rural areas, tourist trails, outer space, and now even beneath the sea, so the question on many peoples’ minds is simply “what’s next?
