We have heard talks about how Facebook is set to release a totally new Facebook layout. The whole goal is to be able to share your whole life on Facebook from birth. This is something very intimate and personal which is precisely what Facebook is going after. It’s about having your whole life put on Facebook, which will activate an emotional connection with the platform, of which I see is a fantastic strategy that will keep people long-term on Facebook.

So what does this really mean for brands? Business Pages will also soon have a whole new layout that is totally different to the current look. Like personal profiles, the Timeline layout will show another new dimension on how brands can promote themselves. Strategies to prolong brand engagement and interaction will also need to be re-looked at and changed, so keep an eye out for this one and be ready to plan accordingly.
