Background

Childs Davidson is a boutique consulting company that works internationally with senior executives and leaders in the FMCG industry. They were after a new web site that represented their brand and was professional and differentiated from their competitors while demonstrating their real-world thought leadership and their direct, accessible style.

In addition, they wanted a secure online forum to support their face-to-face executive forums in each major regional market. The forum would be used to distribute their papers and promote discussion on key topics.

Approach

Early in the discussions, it was decided that the key in differentiating the site from competitors would be through imagery, and this lead the development of the creative brief and four different concepts for the website.

 



Through reviewing the concepts with the client, we were able to develop a hybrid concept that utilised the strengths of several of the concepts. From there, our designers prepared two different wireframes and several palettes of images based on the brief. After several rounds of feedback and review to get the perfect solution, we arrived at a design that the client was delighted with.

From there, the website was coded and then tested across all the major browsers. Our back-end programmers customised modules on our CMS to meet some specific requirements that the client had for their online forums.

Results

The client was delighted with the final design of the website and were also impressed with the ease of use of our CMS and the functionality of their online forum.
